That Camp Community College is an unconference. What is an unconference? An unconference is run and driven by those attending the meeting. Since 2009, ThatCamps around the world have popularized the unconference (even more mainstreram organizations like the NJEA are embracing the unconference). An unconference should do the following:
- The schedule for the day with be determined by those attending on the day of the event
- Anyone attending can propose a session
- Anyone can lead a session, which will be much more conversational than the traditional conference panel
- Attendees may come and go as they feel. If an attendee does not like a session they may freely move to another
As of now, it looks like we will have at least six slots for sessions plus three for workshops. As March goes on, these details will be narrowed down a bit more. Stay tuned.
